As time draws nigh to the Inverted Jenny centennial and completion of Stamp of the Century, these pages will populate with stories about everything related to the stamp, the plane, the process, and the people. This blog includes you in the adventures that come with seeking out the juiciest, most telling stories that the Inverted Jenny has facilitated or witnessed over the years.
Some stories go as far back as the war between Burr and Hamilton over New York banking while others plunk you right into the present at the 2016 World Stamp Show. There will be stories that talk about the Curtiss JN plane and its inventor and the advent of civil, as opposed to military, aviation. There will be stories about refined folk who built enormous, complete collections of stamps and fiends who thought nothing of mutilating a one-of-a-kind bit of art just to make a buck. We'll also introduce a bunch of really nice, smart people who are fascinated by these tiny printed engravings.
